New submersible well pump and brass fittings installed in a stone well pit by Flowcore Water Services in North Texas

When a well pump fails or keeps failing, the fix is usually a replacement, not another repair call. Flowcore Water replaces submersible well pumps across Dallas-Fort Worth and North Texas, and we size the new pump to your well instead of swapping in whatever fits. Call (817) 480-7971 for same-day or next-day service, or request service online.

When Should You Replace a Well Pump Instead of Repairing It?

Replacement makes sense when the pump or motor has failed, when the wire down the well is burnt or damaged, when the same pump has needed repeated repairs, or when the pump is the wrong size for the well and keeps cycling or running dry. After a fire or electrical event, the wire and the pump often have to come out together. If the problem is only the pressure tank or switch, see our well repair page first, because that is a smaller fix.

How Flowcore Replaces a Well Pump

We start by pulling the pump and inspecting it, because replacing a pump without finding the cause just repeats the failure. When the cause is not obvious, we can leave the well to rest and run a camera inspection before choosing a package. Then we match the pump size, horsepower and phase to your well depth, water level and flow. See our pump pulling and pump sizing pages for more on each step.

Pump Replacement Packages

We offer pump replacement as tiered packages so you can choose how much of the system gets renewed. Packages come in pump sizes from 1 HP to 5 HP, single phase and three phase. [CONFIRM: describe the Core and Restoration packages and what each includes. The Ultimate package scope below comes from our own job records.]

What the Ultimate package includes

The Ultimate package renews the whole well system: removal of the existing submersible pump and motor; complete well rehabilitation, including brushing and bailing the well perforations to remove sand, debris and blockages; new check valves and stainless steel couplers; a new submersible pump and motor; new pump wire; a new bleeder valve and well seal; a stainless steel wellhead with PEX pipe conversion; Schedule 80 drop pipe; all wellhead electrical, including conduit and junction boxes; a new pressure switch, air volume control valve, pressure gauge and control box; a water level indicator in the well; winterization; and a new pressure tank with plumbing.

Starting price: [CONFIRM: starting price for each package].

What Drives the Cost of a Well Pump Replacement?

Cost depends on the pump size and type, well depth, the condition of the wire and drop pipe, whether the pressure tank, switch and control box are replaced, and whether the well needs rehabilitation first. We give you a written estimate before work starts.

After the New Pump Goes In

We test pressure and flow, check the system for leaks at the wellhead, and winterize when the season calls for it. Our maintenance plan adds inspections twice a year so small problems get caught early. If something is wrong after an install, such as sand in the water or a wellhead leak, call us and we will come back out.

Frequently Asked Questions About Well Pump Replacement

How do I know if my pump needs replacing?

Signs include no water, pressure that keeps dropping, water that cuts out for hours, a pump that runs constantly, a tripping breaker, and a burnt smell or damage after an electrical event. A technician confirms by pulling and inspecting the pump.

Can you replace a pump the same day?

For no-water emergencies we aim for same-day or next-day service. Larger packages that include well rehabilitation or a new tank take longer. [CONFIRM: typical time on site for each package.]

Will a new pump fix sand in my water?

Not by itself. Sand usually points to the well or the pump setting, which is why the Ultimate package includes well rehabilitation, and why we recommend a camera inspection when the cause is unclear.

Do you offer a warranty on pump replacement?

Yes, we warranty our work. [CONFIRM: warranty terms for pumps and labor.]
